The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt production facility. This includes monitoring production, ensuring quality control, overseeing equipment maintenance, and coordinating with site and project teams to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operation
Operate and monitor the asphalt plant to produce hot mix asphalt according to specifications.
Adjust controls to regulate temperature, material feed, and mixing time.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct quantities and mix quality.
Quality Control
Conduct routine sampling and testing of asphalt mixes.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and company quality standards.
Report and correct deviations promptly.
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
Report equipment malfunctions and assist maintenance teams with repairs.
Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Coordination
Communicate with truck drivers, site engineers, and supervisors to ensure timely delivery of asphalt.
Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and daily reports.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in asphalt plant operations.
