**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school certificate
- 5 years experience in marine field
- Heavy industry experience in rigging works and heavy equipment erections
- Shipyard experience preferred
- Experience certificate from heavy engineering organizations
- Intermediate English
- Knowledge of rigging and shipyard operations
- Knowledge of related health, safety, security and environmental regulations

**Task Description**:

- To perform and coordinate rigging activities in the shipyard in a very safe and professional manner as per quality standards, and act as per the direct instruction of Foreman - Rigging
- Coordinate rigging operations under the Foreman’s supervision
- Oversee a team of riggers by coordinating day to day quality works, allocating labour, ensuring efficiency and conservation of material, accurate reporting of work carried out and correct charging of time to job numbers
- Coordinate activities that relate to the operations of mobile cranes, forklifts and lifting equipment, tools and tackles, sling, etc.
- Assist the Foreman in the calibration of all equipment in Rigging Section
- Assist the Foreman in certification of lifting gears and labelling of test status
- Assist the Foreman in preparing rigging, lifting and survey equipment for testing
- Requisition of equipment and materials for the Department
- Maintaining quality records
- Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
- Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
