Business Development Engineer

We’re seeking a proactive Business Development Engineer to launch EcoFlect's operations in Qatar. You’ll combine technical expertise in renewable energy and carbon auditing with strong commercial acumen to build our client base, execute pilot audits, and lead early revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue B2B opportunities with Qatari industrial clients, giga-projects, and public-sector partners.
  • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at target organizations.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, technical presentations, and demo reports.
  • Conduct energy and carbon audits using tools like RETScreen, GHG Protocol, or in-house templates.
  • Analyze facility performance and identify energy-saving and decarbonization opportunities.
  • Support carbon footprint calculation and ESG reporting projects.
  • Monitor local regulations, carbon market trends, and ESG disclosure frameworks in Qatar.
  • Recommend strategic partnerships.
  • Represent EcoFlect at sustainability events, forums, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Environmental Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy efficiency, carbon audits, or ESG consulting
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and sustainability regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Familiarity with Qatar’s sustainability ecosystem
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
