Careers Counsellor - Aug 2025

We are now seeking an innovative Careers Counsellor to join our successful team, from August 2025.

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in effective provision of counselling and guidance to students. While experience in the IB Middle Years and Diploma programmes is preferred, outstanding Career Counsellors from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply. Alignment with the IB philosophy and commitment to the Learner Profile values are crucial. A genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community is also a key requirement. Additionally, the candidate should possess:

• A certified professional qualification at degree level, such as BA, BS or equivalent specialism in Counselling
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a School/Career Counsellor, ideally within an IB curriculum school, however, this is not mandatory
• Availability from August 2025
• The experience, personality and educational philosophy to continue to drive the education agenda at this GEMS IB School, catering for students from over 100 countries
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with significant opportunities for career development and advancement
