Define the direction and guidelines for planning and organizing academic activities of the faculty, supervise course progress and monitor performance in terms of content effectiveness, academic action and student satisfaction (student voice and NPS) aligned with the CAA and KHDA -UAE educational validation bodies; direct and co-ordinate activities related to innovation of the academic offer and teaching methodology; contribute to tutor training; manage relationships with academic Institutions. Key purpose of the role Strategy – Monitor trends in the Education market and reviewing/innovation of the academic offer (participation at Edu Days) and support the School Director in innovating the academic offer considering impact on UAE educational validation system requirements, developing new programmes’ proposals and improving existing ones, improving teaching methodology; work closely with the QA department to ensure compliance with the regulations requested, respect norms for syllabus accreditation and requirements of QA system (Quality Assurance); represent the school in activities and relationships with partners and national and international counterparts. Operation Leadership: Management of Tutors and coordination of their activities, anticipating internal and external risks; Ensure the planning and organization of academic processes, the planning of courses and the layout of Handbooks; to adapt the academic offer in order to be internationally suitable and aligned with specific local needs; ensure that the teaching methodology and internal processes are respected (participation at Edu Board) and monitor the accredited courses compliance with the UAE educational validation system requirements (CAA and KHDA); Supervise and co-ordinate the tutor selection process, the distribution of tasks in the faculty amongst courses, select the Visiting Tutors, organize training activities for tutors (example: Alumni project - IMFT); Co-ordinate and supervise all students’ satisfaction activities and solve any problems during their study path (customized study plans, etc.); ensure the safeguard standards are respected and improve the quality of academic offer and delivery to ensure a positive students’ experience; Plan the Open Day academic related activities (Lectures, workshops, etc.) Work closely with PL and tutors ensuring the completion of the course file in a timely manner Support the admission department for RPL, transfer of credits and new admissions (interviews, compliance with CAA standards in terms of acceptance) Budgeting, Forecast and Reporting – Submit requests related to academic tools; elaborate and analyse periodical reporting (monthly reports), with the scope of monitoring local performance and justify any discrepancies taking corrective action and/or making improvements. Manage the yearly budget for part time tutors, academic resources and students’ visits, projects and other activities, ensuring compliance with the assigned budget. Support the SD and career & industry manager to develop professional trainings for the industry through preparation of bespoke academic programs (i.e. for the K12 sector and for local and international brands). People Leadership and Management – Manage own resources, their professional growth and skills development; plan and organize jobs and activities and assign new projects; actively participate in the selection process; guarantee respect of policy, code of ethics and company procedures; actively support initiatives in Succession Planning, Change Management and innovation; ensure that all academic documentation is produced correctly and constantly updated. Ensure, on annual basis, the delivery of the tutors’ performance evaluation and appraisal. Institution & Program revalidation and validation of new programs – Support SD and QA in the preparation and submission of all the requirements for the renewal of institution and program validation and for the submission of new academic programs. Research – Support the Head of Research in ensuring that full time faculty are delivering the agreed number of publications and encourage part time faculty and students to produce additional research, in accordance with CAA assigned KPIs. Education & Professional Background Master Degree in creative disciplines or related field is mandatory. PhD is a plus Min 3 years’ experience in academic management at University Level. Knowledge of CAA system is a plus; Relevant teaching experience - students from a wide variety of age groups and skill levels (undergraduate level, postgraduate level); Strong international experience and connections with design, fashion and luxury system; Relevant experience with creating educational materials and extracurricular activities to challenge students and meet curriculum objectives; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well critical-thinking skills; Excellent research skills, pursuing research activities, embracing a research-oriented approach to teaching Strong relationship-building skills to build networks and solid connections with the luxury industries (fashion, design, beauty, luxury hospitality).
