Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Durst Tau 330 RSC Labeling Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Durst Tau 330 RSC digital UV inkjet press, ensuring high-quality label printing output while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Machine Operation:

Operate the Durst Tau 330 RSC press for label and packaging production.

Load and unload materials, set up print jobs, and execute production runs.

Perform color calibrations and adjustments according to job requirements.

Monitor press during operation to ensure print quality and alignment.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the press.

Identify and resolve issues related to print quality, material jams, or press malfunctions.

Work closely with the maintenance team and/or Durst support for technical issues.

Quality Control:

Inspect printed labels for accuracy, color consistency, and defects.

Record and report production data, including downtime and waste.

Perform quality checks and document findings in line with company standards.

Workflow Management:

Interpret job tickets and production schedules accurately.

Collaborate with prepress and finishing teams to ensure a smooth workflow.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in printing is a plus.

2+ years of experience in digital label printing, preferably with Durst or similar UV inkjet presses.

Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Durst Workflow or equivalent) and file handling (PDF, TIFF, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality output.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and software-related issues.

Good physical condition – ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 25 kg.


Preferred Skills:

Experience in narrow-web label printing environment.

Understanding of color management and ICC profiling.

Knowledge of different label substrates (paper, film, synthetic).

Basic computer literacy and ability to use ERP or production tracking software.


Work Environment:

Fast-paced, deadline-driven production facility.

Shift work may be required, including evenings or weekends based on demand.
