<p><b>Freelance Women’s Loungewear Designer</b></p><p> (Project-based | Remote / London Meetings as Required)</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>We are looking for an experienced Freelance Women’s Loungewear Designer to develop a focused collection that combines comfort, quality, and commercial appeal. This is a freelance project role, ideally suited to someone who has already designed loungewear ranges for UK high-street and department store retailers such as John Lewis, TK Maxx, Next, M&S, or similar.</p><p>The role requires a deep understanding of the loungewear category — from fabric qualities and sizing standards to the nuances of fit, silhouette, and trend direction. You will be responsible for creating a cohesive collection that balances design creativity with commercial viability.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Design and develop a women’s loungewear collection from concept through to final range.</li><li>Research trends, fabrics, colours, and consumer preferences specific to loungewear.</li><li>Produce sketches, CADs, and technical packs for sampling and production.</li><li>Ensure designs meet quality, fit, and sizing standards suitable for large UK retailers.</li><li>Liaise with product development, sourcing, and buying teams to align with timelines and cost parameters.</li><li>Deliver a balanced range plan with attention to product mix, price points, and market positioning.</li><li>Adapt designs based on feedback and ensure samples are production-ready.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Proven experience designing women’s loungewear collections for recognised UK retailers (e.g. John Lewis, TK Maxx, Next, Debenhams, M&S, etc.).</li><li>Strong knowledge of fabrications, knitwear, fleece, jersey, and woven materials relevant to loungewear.</li><li>Understanding of UK retail sizing, grading, and garment construction.</li><li>Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, CLO 3D or similar).</li><li>Excellent eye for colour, proportion, and detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver a commercially relevant collection.</li></ul><p><b>Contract</b></p><ul><li>Freelance / Project-based</li><li>Location: Remote, with meetings in London as required</li><li>Duration: To be agreed based on project scope</li><li>Start date: Immediate</li></ul>
