Hostess (Five-Star Hotel Restaurant Bar)

We're seeking a vibrant Hostess to join our team at the restaurant bar located within a five-star hotel. As a Hostess, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and positive dining experience throughout their visit.

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Offer a warm welcome to guests upon arrival, cultivating a hospitable atmosphere, and convey gratitude as they leave.
  • Provide accurate wait times, efficiently handle waiting lists, reservations, and ensure they are organized and properly managed.
  • Escort customers to their assigned dining or bar areas.
  • Present menus and introduce the assigned Waiter/Waitress to assist guests.
  • Coordinate with the wait staff regarding available seating options and special requests.
  • Assist the wait staff as needed to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the reception area to uphold the restautrnat bar
  • Attend to guests who require special attention, such as children or elderly patrons.
  • Answer incoming calls and address customer queries in a polite and helpful manner.
  • Consistently adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with local regulations regarding food safety, health standards, and hygiene practices.
  • Familairize one self to restaurat and bar menu and services.

Requirements and Skills:

 

 

  • Minimum 3 years of previous work experience as a Host/Hostess, preferably in an upscale restaurant and bar.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant etiquette.
  • Proven experience in managing reservations and handling high volumes of guests.
  • Demonstrable customer-service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Exceptional communication skills both in-person and over the phone.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and oversee the entire dining and bar area.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Hospitality certification is a plus and demonstrates commitment to excellence in service.
