Job Overview:

  • Skilled Laboratory Technician to operate laboratory equipment
  • Conduct material testing and prepare detailed lab reports.
  • Hands-on testing of cement, aggregates, recycled fines, concrete, and block samples in accordance with international standards (ASTM/BS/EN)
  • Support both quality control and research & development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as:

- Planetary Ball Mill / Vibratory Cup Mill

- Hydraulic Press / Pellet Die Systems

- Blaine Air Permeability Apparatus, Sieves, and other QC devices

  • Prepare and test concrete, mortar, and block samples (compressive strength, workability, absorption, fineness, etc.).
  • Conduct mix trials, material activation (alkali, CO₂ curing), and new binder evaluations.
  • Record, analyze, and interpret test results with accuracy.
  • Prepare technical lab reports and maintain proper documentation.
  • Ensure testing procedures comply with ASTM, BS, EN, and internal company standards.
  • Support R&D trials, new product development, and process improvements.
  • Previous experience in a construction materials laboratory (cement, blocks, aggregates).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or BSc in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry.
  • Experience: 3–7 years in construction materials testing or laboratory operations.
  • Familiarity with ASTM/BS/EN standards for cement, aggregates, and concrete.
  • Hands-on skills with laboratory instruments and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills (MS Word, Excel).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED3,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Jebel Ali: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
