Job description
Job responsibilities
- Write and compile Solidity smart contracts, including quirks and edge cases
- Assist in debugging and testing with tools, like hevm, dapp-test, remix, etc.
- Be part of the ecosystem and encourage transparency and alignment with open source methodologies and principles
- Participate actively in high-impact projects and address the core needs of a decentralized protocol
- Work within a fully remote and highly collaborative global team consisting of diverse industry experts
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a smart contract engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Extensive experience in smart contracts and Solidity
- Prior experience in DeFi primitives like tokens, bonding curves, etc.
- Experience with Solidity from reputable DeFi or blockchain project
- Proficient with underlying Ethereum Virtual Machine, a compilation from high-level language to bytecode, the EVM execution model, memory layout, etc.
- Sound knowledge of common smart contract development design patterns, industry standards (ERCs and EIPs), and best practices
- Understanding of typical smart contract problems, like reentrancy, migrations, and upgradeability of immutable systems
- Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with teams/stakeholders
- Comfortable working full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Working experience in Hardhat, Truffle, and AMM is preferred
- Understanding traditional finance, currency, and money markets is a plus
- Clear concepts of Security Tokens, Decentralized Exchanges, Fungibility, etc. are desired
- Ability to solve real-world problems and guide others to reach solutions
