Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Engineer to join our team in UAE. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment, with experience in the UAE regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Policy Development:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure policies are regularly reviewed and updated to address emerging risks and regulatory changes.
  • Risk Assessment:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Compliance Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all UAE safety regulations, including those from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) and other relevant authorities.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation required by regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Development:
  • Design and deliver safety training programs for employees, including induction training for new hires.
  • Promote safety awareness and foster a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Incident Investigation:
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Safety Equipment and Procedures:
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of safety equipment and protective gear.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with management and other departments to ensure safety standards are integrated into operational processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar are highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
