Accounting Professional Role

We are seeking an exceptional accounting professional to join our team in Sri Lanka.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare, examine and analyze financial reports and records for accuracy, completeness and compliance with standards.
• Post transactions to our accounting system accompanied by supporting documentation and approvals.
• Prepare high-quality financial reports and presentations.
• Reconcile periodic bank, stock and supplier statements.
• Analyze operational trends, costs, revenues and profitability to project business performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain budgets and create variance reports to compare actual performance.
• Design and implement accounting systems, procedures and internal practices.
• Assist in year-end accounting statement preparation and external audits by providing necessary information and schedules.
• Requirements:
• Professional qualification or degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify bigger picture opportunities.
• At least one year of experience in accounting and finance related role.
• Clear knowledge of accounting and finance concepts.
• Ideal candidate will have previous startup experience.
• Ability to take on significant responsibility, meet deadlines and drive outcomes.
• Deliver results under pressure.
• Nice to Have:
• Prior experience at a high growth startup or established fintech firm.
• Fluency in multiple languages including Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tamil.
• Experience working with remote global multicultural teams.
