The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the medical clinic. This role is crucial in ensuring that all areas of the clinic meet health and hygiene standards to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, waiting areas, examination rooms, offices, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are free from dust, dirt, and debris.
Empty trash bins regularly, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste, including biohazardous materials.
Sanitization and Infection Control:
Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, countertops, and medical equipment.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishment of sanitary supplies.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents for medical settings.
Waste Management:
Handle and dispose of medical waste according to clinic policies and local regulations.
Segregate waste correctly, including general waste, recyclables, and biohazardous materials.
Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
Clean and disinfect areas after medical procedures or treatments as required.
Assist in the preparation and cleaning of surgical areas or procedure rooms, following strict sanitization protocols.
